Genso Battle
Note: Currently there is only one battle available. The game may not receive more updates in the future.
Controls
- Mouse/touchscreen only.
- In "Click" mode, click on one of your units (highlighted in red) to pick it up. Move the mouse to drag your unit. Click again to release the unit.
- In "Hold" mode (for mobile devices), press and hold a unit to pick it up, and release to drop it. Change modes during the battle using the option button in the top menu.
Explanation
- Pincer your enemies between two of your own units in order to attack.
- Drag a unit over one of your own units in order to swap positions with it. You are encouraged to swap as many times as needed in the limited timeframe allotted to drag a unit, in order to position your units as effectively as possible.
- Line up your other units in a straight line with the pincering units in order to perform additional attacks. This is called a chain. This grants one additional attack per chained unit.
- Chained units attack using the weapon type of the pincering unit that they are linked to. Use this to execute attacks that exploit the enemies' weaknesses.
- Use the weapon triangle to your advantage. Sword beats Gun. Gun beats Spear. Spear beats Sword.
- Each unit has one skill that is activated randomly whenever it performs a pincer or when it is part of a chain.
- In battle, double-click or long press a unit or enemy to view its stats and skills. You can also do the same from the Squad menu.
- Check out the file help.txt for more information on skills and areas of effect.
- Win the battle by defeating all enemies.
- You lose if you have less than two units alive.
Some familiarity with Terra Battle is recommended. A good start is the game's official trailer.
